Frances R. Hill
Professor of Law
Frances R. Hill, Professor of Law, earned a B.A. from the University of Denver in 1966, an M.A. from the University of Birmingham in 1967, a Ph.D. from Harvard University in 1973. Before attending law school, she was assistant professor of government at the University of Texas. She received her J.D. from Yale Law School in 1984 and then practiced tax law with the Washington, D.C., and London offices of Jones, Day, Reavis & Pogue. Since joining the faculty, she has also been a visiting professor of law at Pennsylvania (1999-2000) and Iowa (2002-03). Professor Hill teaches courses in taxation, constitutional law, and bankruptcy. She is the director of the LLM program in Taxation.
